Volunteers
The first group of volunteers was formed in 1928 at the Hawkesbury Notre-Dame Hospital under the name of "Dames Patronnesses". After years of dedication, the group became known as the "Dames Auxiliaires" of the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital.
Since 1989, the organization has been carrying on its functions under the name of "The Friends of the Hospital". This name is now used by all the volunteers who belong to the Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario.
