General Information
The Hôpital Général de Hawkesbury and District General Hospital is a bilingual, innovative, public community hospital.
Our modern healthcare center, built in 1984, offers a wide range of services.
- Capacity of 69 beds, consisting of:
- 41 beds for medicine / surgery / pediatric
- 4 beds for special care
- 6 beds for obstetrics
- 18 beds for chronic care or reactivation
- Two operating rooms
- A four-bed day surgery unit
- An emergency room with 4 treatment rooms and an observation room of 12 beds
- Consultation rooms for our specialists
Some indicators of the annual volume of activity:
- 34,000 visits to the emergency room
- 27,000 visits in external clinics
- 2,500 admissions
- 400 births
- 10,000 surgical procedures (in-patients and day surgery)
