The Hôpital Général de
Hawkesbury & District General Hospital is looking for a locum Anesthetist or GP
Anesthetist for the period of February 4, 2008 to April 4, 2008.
This position is also available
on a long term basis if a physician should wish so.
The hospital is offering 7/24
general surgery and c-section back-up for the obstetrical group. The 3
anesthetists share on-call responsibilities which cover general anesthesia in
the O.R. 5 days per week and for emergencies. The group offers 24/7 support in
obstetrics for epidurals and also for post-operative pain control. In addition,
sedation is offered to all patients for endoscopy and cystoscopy. The 3
anesthetists share the pre-operative examination responsibilities.
A physician is welcome on off
days to contribute to Emergency Room duties and may also participate in back-up
and transfer group with an interesting fee structure.
Compensation :

Fee for service
·
On-call stipend
·
Communicate with Medical Services Office to discuss remuneration.
Will pay travel expenses and accommodation will be provided
for the locum position.
