Radiologists To Our Rescue
Two radiologists ensure that our hospital can provide continuous radiology services on-site, five days a week until June 2003.
Doctors Gilles Blackburn and Jacques Sansoucy concluded a service agreement with our hospital to ensure stability in the Diagnostic Imagery Service while the hospital continues to work on a long-term strategy to ensure the maintenance of a full spectrum of high quality radiology services in Hawkesbury.
An important element of this strategy is the acquisition of a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) that will allow films to be read from a remote location.
Thanks must be given to the staff in the Diagnostic Imagery Service and to all the physicians working in the hospital, for their support and patience throughout 2001. The invaluable contribution of Dr. André Constantin must be specifically highlighted. His support enabled us to maintain the service during the six months transition period.
